Roy Thomson Hall
Roy Thomson Hall opened its doors on September 13 of 1982 to critical applause. Designed by acclaimed architect Arthur Erickson, the hall continues to inspire. The spectacular 2812 seat Auditorium is encompassed by a circular Lobby featuring grand sweeping staircases and soft grey carpeting framed in walls of mirror and glass. Adorning the Lobby and Auditorium is a dramatic honeycombed glass canopy, which is reflective by day and transparent by night. With inherent simplicity, Roy Thomson Hall evokes a timeless sense of space, luxury and comfort.
